This Privacy Policy applies to the app “Daily Quotes - Mao Quotations” (package name com.fengweisoft.maoquotations, hereinafter “the App”), developed and published by an individual developer (hereinafter “we”, “us” or “our”). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the App handles information related to you.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App. By starting to use the App, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this policy in its entirety.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or upload any personally identifiable information.

Specifically:

  1. No registration or sign-in is required. We do not collect your name, phone number, email address, ID documents, account credentials, location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or any other personal information.
  2. The App works fully offline and transmits no data to any server. The Android version does not request the network permission (the INTERNET permission is not declared), so it is technically unable to connect to the internet.
  3. The App integrates no third-party advertising, analytics, push notification, crash reporting or social sharing SDK, and shares no data with any third party.

2. Information Stored Locally

To provide a continuous reading experience, the App stores the following settings locally on your device:

  • Reading preferences: font, font size, theme style, display mode, etc.;
  • Usage records: the position of the quote currently displayed, bookmarked quotes, and widget display settings.

This information is kept only on your device (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS, Preferences on HarmonyOS). It is never uploaded, and we have no ability to access, read or obtain it. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes this information.

3. System Permissions

The App may request the following system permissions. All of them serve in-app features only and involve no collection of personal information:

  1. Notifications: used to deliver daily quote reminders according to your settings. You can turn this off at any time in system settings; doing so does not affect other features.
  2. Start on boot (Android only): used to restore your scheduled daily reminders after the device restarts, so the reminders do not fail.

The App requests no other sensitive permissions.

4. Sharing, Transfer and Public Disclosure

Because the App collects no personal information, we do not share, transfer or publicly disclose your personal information to any third party.

5. Storage Location and Retention Period

The App collects no personal information, so no cross-border transfer of personal information takes place. Preferences and usage records kept locally on your device are retained for as long as you choose; you can delete them by clearing the App’s data in system settings or by uninstalling the App.

6. Your Rights

Because we collect no personal information, there is no need to request access, copies, correction or deletion from us. You can manage the data stored on your device yourself:

  • Android / HarmonyOS: Settings → Apps → Daily Quotes → Storage → Clear data;
  • iOS: deleting the App removes all local data.

7. Protection of Minors

The App collects no personal information and performs no data processing targeted at minors. If you are a minor, please use the App under the guidance of a guardian.

8. Third-Party Links and Content

The App contains no third-party web pages, external links, advertising slots or third-party sign-in, and does not direct you off the site. The quotations shown in the App come from publicly available publications and are provided for study and reference only.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary. The updated policy will be published on this page together with a revised “Last updated” date at the top, and takes effect upon publication. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you prominently within the App. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.

  • 使用记录：当前展示的语录位置、收藏的语录、小组件展示设置。

上述信息仅保存在您的设备本地（Android 使用 SharedPreferences、iOS 使用 UserDefaults、HarmonyOS 使用 Preferences），不会上传，我们无法访问、读取或获取。您卸载本应用或清除应用数据后，这些信息即被删除。

三、系统权限说明

本应用可能向您申请以下系统权限，均仅用于应用内功能，不涉及个人信息采集：

  1. 通知权限：用于按您的设置发送每日语录提醒。您可以随时在系统设置中关闭，关闭后不影响其他功能的使用。

五、信息存储地点及期限

本应用不收集个人信息，因此不涉及个人信息出境传输。应用在您设备本地保存的偏好与使用记录，存储期限由您自行决定，您可通过系统设置清除应用数据或卸载应用予以删除。

由于我们不收集您的个人信息，您无需向我们申请查阅、复制、更正或删除。对于保存在设备本地的数据，您可以通过以下方式自行管理：

  • Android / HarmonyOS：系统设置 → 应用管理 → 每日语录 → 存储 → 清除数据；
  • iOS：删除应用即清除全部本地数据。

本应用不收集任何个人信息，不会针对未成年人进行任何形式的数据处理。若您是未成年人，请在监护人指导下使用本应用。

八、第三方链接与内容

本应用不包含第三方网页、外部链接、广告位或第三方登录，不会引导您跳转至站外。本应用展示的语录内容来源于公开出版物，仅供学习与参考。

九、本隐私权政策的变更
